Greetings
It is my pleasure to introduce you to what I believe is one of the hidden jewels in podiatric residency training. In our PM&S-36 program you can expect to receive extensive surgical and medical training in a professional and collegial enviroment without having to deal with any of the "scut work." Beginning in your first year you will find yourself in the OR on a daily basis without double scrubbing in one of our hospital rotations, or in our affiliated clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
In your second and third-year, you will work side by side with a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon refining your reconstructive rear foot and ankle skills.
Our affiliation and close relationship with UMass Medical School allows our residents the benefits of two major geaching institutions located within one mile of each other.
We have a dedicated, thoroughly committed core faculty, as well as a diverse attending staff, including a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon. This provides our residents with tremendous training and diversity in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
Located less than one hour from Boston and Providence, and close to the beaches of Cape Cod and the mountains of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, Worcester has something for everyone. Numerous recreational, educational, and cultural activities are available in all four seasons.
We enjoy having third and fourth year students rotating through our externship program where they will be working side-by-side with other residents. The residents and attendings take their teaching responsibility to the students seriously, making this an enjoyable and educational extership experience. Hospital housing is available most months for a nominal fee. Please
